The NATE-Certification Advantage

March 20, 2018

Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning proudly sends NATE-Certified technicians into customers’ homes in North America every day. While this distinction of being Nate-Certified definitely sounds reassuring, what does it actually mean?

NATE, an abbreviation for North American Technician Excellence, is the nation’s largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians. NATE is the certification organization that was established by and has been accepted by the entire HVACR industry for approximately 20 years. But, not all technicians in the field have to be NATE-Certified. The certification is non-mandatory and technicians can service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment without being NATE-Certified.

It’s essential to Service Experts that our team is NATE-Certified to make sure we are putting the most skilled technicians into our customers’ homes. To make sure technicians meet these qualifications, the NATE-Certification exams confirm real-world working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems for technicians. The assessments are knowledge-based exams that test the technician’s understanding of these rules.

Since Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning focuses primarily on the HVAC side of NATE-Certification, our technicians achieve their designations in these areas. However, NATE assessment candidates may gain certification in multiple areas:

  • Air Conditioning
  • Air Distribution
  • Gas Heating
  • Oil Heating
  • Heat Pumps
  • Hydronic Gas (service only)
  • Hydronics Oil (service only)
  • Light Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Ground Source Heat Pump Loop Installer
  • Senior HVAC Efficiency Analyst

You can be sure that the technicians at Service Experts are highly competent and professional and will do the job right from the start. Our company has the know-how and skill set to not only repair your HVAC systems, but to take the ultimate care of your equipment. Call to have one of our NATE-Certified experts check out your HVAC system to make sure that it is equipped to ensure your family’s comfort all season long.
